Mr. Marlin Superfan sez: Trade Jacobs for a mid-level catcher. We have a bunch of second string catchers and Jacob is good only for home runs. No BA, no RBI, no fielding. You move Cantu to first, bring up McPherson and his 28 HR from AAA. Well, why not?

I have no problem getting rid of Jacobs. Of the players Beinfest has gotten in trades over the past few years, Jacobs is the biggest disappointment, and he is a real liability in the field.
Just a slight reality check: 28 HR in Albuquerque is an inflated number. Remember that.
